Hundreds of federal, state, and private assistance programs exist to help older adults with limited incomes pay for health care, heating, home repair and other essential services.

Millions of people qualify for these benefits, but don't receive them, simply because they don't know how to find them.

In partnership with the National Council on Aging (NCOA), the Benefits Help Network of hospitals helps connect older adults with the benefits they need and deserve, through one simple, Web-based tool: BenefitsCheckUp.

Developed by the NCOA, BenefitsCheckUp is the most comprehensive Web-based benefit-screening tool for people 50 and older in the United States.

BenefitsCheckUp is sponsored in local communities by the Benefits Help Network, a growing network of hospitals committed to helping their older community members gain access to the benefits they need.

BenefitsCheckUp screens people online for eligibility in more than 2,000 public and private assistance programs. After completing the screening, visitors receive a list of programs that they may qualify for, plus fact sheets, local contacts and application materials for each program.
